Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (Subclass 482)
The TSS visa program allows employers to overcome labour shortages in their business by sponsoring skilled workers. The Australian government recognises that there are occupations which is critical to the economic growth of the country that remains in short supply. To meet these demands, the government has introduced the Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), the Medium and Long Term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and Regional Occupation List (ROL). Generally speaking, employers can only sponsor oversea skilled worker in occupations that are on these three lists. The minimum requirements for the Short-term and Medium-term streams of this visa class are as follows:
